Job Summary: The Night Auditor is responsible for overseeing the hotel's nightly operations, ensuring guest satisfaction, and accurately completing all accounting and administrative duties. This position requires a detail-oriented individual who can work independently during the overnight hours, handle guest requests, and prepare the hotel for the next day's business.
Key Responsibilities:

Guest Services:
- Greet and check-in/check-out guests in a friendly and professional manner.
- Answer guest inquiries, handle requests, and resolve any issues or complaints promptly and courteously.
- Answer and direct all incoming phone calls.
- Maintain a secure and safe environment for guests and staff by monitoring surveillance cameras and being aware of hotel surroundings.
- Greet and check-in/check-out guests in a friendly and professional manner.

Auditing and Accounting:
- Balance and audit all cash, credit card, and city ledger accounts.
- Post and reconcile all room and tax charges, and prepare and process nightly financial reports.
- Verify and prepare daily reports for hotel management, including occupancy, revenue, and payroll data.
- Ensure all guest and company folios are accurate and properly documented.
- Handle daily credit card transactions and prepare for daily bank deposits.
- Balance and audit all cash, credit card, and city ledger accounts.

Operational Duties:
- Run the nightly audit process in the property management system (PMS) to close out the day's business.
- Prepare and set up the complimentary breakfast area.
- Perform light cleaning duties to ensure the lobby and public areas are presentable for the morning.
- Ensure all hotel systems (e.g., security, fire alarm) are functioning properly and respond to any alerts.
- Communicate any guest issues or maintenance concerns to the morning staff for follow-up.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Prior experience in a hotel, customer service, or accounting role is preferred.
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills; proficiency with numbers and financial data.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with computers and hotel property management systems (PMS).
- Ability to work independently, make sound decisions, and handle unexpected situations with composure.
- Must be reliable and punctual for the overnight shift.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
- This is a night shift position, typically from [e.g., 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM].
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and walk throughout the hotel.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
- Work is performed in a hotel environment and may include moderate noise levels.
Compensation: $12.75 per hour
